Wild life

I love to live in the foothills. These three guys became over the last two years "good neighbors". Every once in a while the three bull elks show up in our neighborhood. It's like they just want to say: "Hey, we are still alive." -- It looks like they know where to go during the hunting season.

China

Whoever thought a photographer's life is exciting and interesting, should have seen me today. Today's clients were the very nice people of Colorado Party Rentals. This company wants a new catalog and hired me to shoot all their china, silverware and whatever else one would need for a big party. Man... their warehouse is stuffed with stuff. And today right in the middle was me with my camera and my studio setup. And we shot one set of beautiful china after the other... followed by one set of silverware after the other. No excitement just routine. But we had fun anyway.

Association of Bridal Consultants

Ok, here is one reason, why I love so much to work in this business: It's the people you meet! I'm a proud member of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC). I guess I mentioned this in one of my earlier blogs. ABC celebrated in November its 25th anniversary during the annual conference at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs,Co. I was honored to work with all the ABC photographers to arrange a slide show for the opening of the conference. The images in the slide show were arranged to the song “America the beautiful”. You can view the slide show here. Katharine Lee Bates who wrote the lyrics for the song found most of the words during a visit to Colorado Springs. It turned out to be a big success. I was also asked to shoot images during a bridal fashion show on Monday. What a wonderful presentation. Go to my website, pixelartsphotography and use the button CLIENTS and enter the password abc to see all the images.

Food Guy

I guess everyone in the event business in Denver, perhaps all over Colorado knows Tom Harper, the Food Guy. He once explained our relationship to someone: "We kinda adopted Hardy after we did his wedding." This might be true. Tom helped me a lot with my business. Just listening to him gives me so much inspiration. I'm proud knowing him and working with him from time to time. And of course there is the food. Knowing that the Food Guy is catering an event where I have to shoot the pictures makes me anticipate the job that much more. Tom hired me to shoot the images for his website and he called me back in when he wanted to have more pictures of one of his amazing buffets. Thanks Tom!

Denver Art Museum

Have you seen the new building at the Denver Art Museum? A masterpiece from Daniel Libeskind. I was assigned by a German News Agency to shoot the pictures during the media preview. Wow - I was overwhelmed with the beauty of this amazing building. I heard a journalist saying: "The Titanic has landed in Denver!" It's kinda funny and looking at the building you can get the idea that it is true. Daniel Libeskind told me that his idea actually came from the mountain range of the Rockies. Go to my website, pixelartsphotography and use the button CLIENTS and enter the password museum to see all the images.

Long time no see...

I know, I know - I was supposed to post a blog every day. But you know ... sometimes life happens in between things you are supposed to do. The last weeks have been packed with every day stuff. Now I'm through all of this things and I'm ready to start into the next season. I will post some photos of assignments I did during the last weeks. Lot's of fun stuff. I love photography! The photo shows me with Edward DeCroce. He is a great photographer from Denver and also a great guy. It was taken at one of the Colorado Photography Association meetings.
