Spring is Here

"Once there was a thing called spring,
When the world was writing verses like yours and mine.
All the lads and girls would sing,
When we sat at little tables and drank may wine
Now april, may, and june are sadly out of tune ..."
Do you know this Frank Sinatra song? - Looking out of my window yesterday and today this lyrics came to my mind. Hopefully this will change in the next couple of days. I have some engagements sittings scheduled. My clients deserve the sun of Colorado over Red Rocks and not the cold and wet weather we have right now. Hopefully the weather forecast is right and we will have a nice weekend. Like a week ago, when I shot these photos.

Greyhounds and Soccer

Members of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) on the road again. The Fact Caravan is one of my favorite monthly events with the ABC. It's a great opportunity for me to check out the venues. On Monday we started early in the morning at the with Radisson Hotel Denver Stapleton Plaza where we met with Anthony Pacheco who gave us a tour through the Hotel. After that we went to the Courtyard by Marriott Denver/Stapleton where the sales manager Loretta Sanchez proudly presented us a totally remodeled Hotel. Stacey Arthur met with us at the Renaissance Denver. After that we had lunch at the Red Lion Hotel Denver Central. Interesting venues waited for us in the after noon. We started with Mile High Greyhound Park and the Mile High Event Center. I've never been at the Mile High Greyhound Park. It's an interesting place and definitely a different place to get married. For me as German Dick's Sporting Goods Park was the most interesting venue on this day. The brand new soccer stadium for the Colorado Rapids is the a beautiful stadium. The first game ever was played there April 7th. Public tours are not open till May 4th, so we felt really special to be there.

Email from Katja

Today I received an email from Katja? - You probably think, who is Katja? Katja Rieckermann is saxophon player. A very good one and she is German, like I am. So another import from the old world. Recently she was in Denver on stage with Rod Stewart. She is Rod's saxophon player for years now. But Katja also has her own musical life. That's what her email to me was all about: Her new CD is finally available. Great music from a great musician and I can't wait to listen to it. If you need some samples, go to Katja's website.
