Stephanie & Steve

What a wonderful wedding. The ceremony was at St. Malo - Chapel on the Rock and the reception at Mary's lake Lodge and Resort. While it was snowing and cold in Denver, the weather in Estes Park was just fine. Stephanie and Steve and their 150 guests had a wonderful time.

On TV

Have you seen the American Bride TV yet? If not it's a great resource to plan your wedding. It's even more interesting now... I'm in in! The Warwick Hotel in Downtown Denver asked me to shoot a wedding, while Nancy Elder from American Bride TV was shooting with her team in the hotel. It was quite exciting and a great opportunity for me. The reception and ceremony rooms where beautifully decorated for the shoot. What a great place to get married. After 3 hours we had everything on tape. I can't wait to watch it. Nancy told me that the show will on in December.

Hurry up

This weekend I felt like the bride on the photo, who try to race the bus. I shot this photo on Saturday. Emily and Phil had a great wedding at the Grand Hyatt. The reception was on the 38 floor. The guest overlooked downtown Denver and the Foothills. What a wonderful background for their wedding reception. The ballroom was covered in brown orange... bright orange flowers everywhere on brown linen. The florist did a great job. I loved just looking at it and so did the guests.
After the wedding I had to rush home. The night was over for me at 4.30. My plane to Fort Lauderdale left at 7.30 on Sunday morning. I started shooting a Bar Mitzvah Party at Hard Rock Hotel in Fort Lauderdale. It was great fun Jonah and his 160 guests had a blast at the Hotels Night Club. Now I'm back at the studio looking at a bunch of photos.

Natural Light

I shot a wedding yesterday. A beautiful place in the Foothills of Denver. I was with the bride and we did some portrait shots, when I discovered this great window with the sun coming in. I told her to move over there: "Look at this dramatic light situation." She leaned at the cabinet door and looked beautiful in the sun. I love natural light and I hate to use the flash. Sometimes you have to, but than I always try to find a wall to bounce the flash. I would never point a loaded flash towards a human being.

Greyhounds and Soccer

Members of the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC) on the road again. The Fact Caravan is one of my favorite monthly events with the ABC. It's a great opportunity for me to check out the venues. On Monday we started early in the morning at the with Radisson Hotel Denver Stapleton Plaza where we met with Anthony Pacheco who gave us a tour through the Hotel. After that we went to the Courtyard by Marriott Denver/Stapleton where the sales manager Loretta Sanchez proudly presented us a totally remodeled Hotel. Stacey Arthur met with us at the Renaissance Denver. After that we had lunch at the Red Lion Hotel Denver Central. Interesting venues waited for us in the after noon. We started with Mile High Greyhound Park and the Mile High Event Center. I've never been at the Mile High Greyhound Park. It's an interesting place and definitely a different place to get married. For me as German Dick's Sporting Goods Park was the most interesting venue on this day. The brand new soccer stadium for the Colorado Rapids is the a beautiful stadium. The first game ever was played there April 7th. Public tours are not open till May 4th, so we felt really special to be there.

Claire & Ryan

Weddings at the Brown Palace in Denver are always special to me. I don't know, may be it's the Brown Palace itself, or the couples. Yesterday I shot Claire and Ryan's wedding. 150 guests and two people who are truly in love. Like always I had a lot of fun and came home with a ton of good images. I love my job. I deal always with happy people. I can't wait to present all of the images to Claire and Ryan, when they are back from there honeymoon.

Sharon & Mark

In Colorado, outside weddings in the late afternoon are always decorated with a big question mark: Are we getting the ceremony in before the rain starts or not? - Everyone is worried. Sharon didn't care. I shot her and Mark's wedding on Saturday at the Boettcher Mansion in Golden. "This is the happiest day in my life, because I marry my best friend. Not even the rain can stop this." While she told me that, she looked at her wonderful dress in the mirror. Sharon and Mark got lucky, the rain stopped right when their ceremony started. As always, I had a lot of fun. If you want to see all the images I took, than just go here, sign up and look for Sharon & Mark.
